Ahhh, the
projects I desperately want
but don't want to start or finish!
New Projects 2010
Ikea kitchens are pretty darned interesting.... After
shopping for best price/ most desirable features on my list, I decided
to upgrade my very dark and dreary ktichen for an IKEA experience
and kitchen. Due to availability of my contractor (a known factor),
kitchen is taking longer than expected to complete, but it sure
does look nice!
Before...my kitchen was dark dark wood, dreary and
I think, ugly as well!

during- what a mess!

boxes and boxes and more boxes, all over the house.
This is just one room of many overrun by IKEA boxes!

After - it's white and stainless steel, shiny with
a bit of country thrown in. These are IKEA Stat cabinets.

Fenced in Yard - vinyl with chicken wire, 5 ft paddock
fencing. I LOVE IT!!!

Moving the original full bath (demolishing it and
building a full bath where a room paneled in knotty pine was), creating
a dining alcove, going from full wall between bath and kitchen to
shoulder wall between alcove and kitchen.
original bathroom (below) was demolished and moved
to portion of knotty pine room (also below)

original bathroom become the footprint (more or
less) for the new dining alcove:

knotty pine room is now regular hallway, plus a
bath to the left side if you're wlaking from bedrooms toward kitchen
(same perspective as above original pine room and below new hallway)
