Home Sweet Home
No matter where I land
When I'm not slaving away at work, I'm relaxing at Chez Sheila.
It's a small home with character in a small town that's growing
quickly. While I really appreciate the architecture (the house was
built in the 1900s), I would prefer a more open floor plan due to
the size of my...dogs! I live in an attached twin with a lovely
enclosed porch and a small back yard. You'll notice that I love
color: there is currently only one room in the house that is white
(the bathroom). See the house>>
The house is constantly in need of costly repairs, which I usually
manage to just squeeze in to the total chaos that is my budget.
And, of course, there are small and large projects ongoing. Stay
tuned for details and pictures, provided I am motivated :-) Check
out my household projects>>
I like to relax at home, curling up on the couch for a cozy read
with the pups. I also like to watch movies, although I don't watch
too much TV. In the last few weeks of 2004, I discovered Buffy the
Vampire Slayer (the TV show), and collected the DVDs from all 7
seasons. Good stuff! I also really liked Dead Like Me (Showtime)
but dropped premium channels in an effort to conserve my dwindling
dollars. Do we like the same movies? Find

When I go away, I try to maintain a certain comfort level--I'm
none too fond of roughing it! I have a biennial week at a timeshare
in Sedona, AZ. Because I adore the region so much and feel a real
connection to it, I typically don't trade it in for a week at another
location. There's so much to see and do, and it's all so very lovely.
I always come back more in tune with myself and the world around
me. How great is Sedona? Find out>>
I also travel to Annapolis several times a year. I love the docks
and the ambience of the town, where old world charm and the sea
combine to make for a relaxing break. I meet friends for dinner
and lunch, shop and take in the sights. It's a nice way to get away
for a weekend.
Other destinations beckon too, and I go as I'm able to depending
on work, dogs and friends.
